These are Terms and Conditions where IPSO FACTO run ‘open’ courses at various locations around the country. At each course IPSO FACTO will use a suitable venue and will provide an appropriate Approved Trainer. Pre-course reading materials will be supplied to each delegate prior to the event. Each course will aim to have between 4 and 14 Delegates.
IPSO FACTO will deliver the course content as advertised or described in our quotation. By placing the order, you confirm that you have the delegates’ permission to receive communications (inc. results) from IPSO FACTO on their behalf.
IPSO FACTO reserve the right to cancel or re-schedule any open course. Delegates not able to attend a ‘re-scheduled’ course will be refunded the invoiced value, less the value of any non-returned or opened ‘pre-course’ materials.
ALL materials supplied remain the property of IPSO FACTO until payment is received in full. Copyright exists on all materials supplied in any form. Copying, transfer or storage by whatever means may only be performed with the express written permission of the Director of IPSO FACTO Training Solutions Ltd.
Cancellation or Course Transfer Requests must be made either in writing or by e-mail to the Course Administrator.
From date of acknowledgement by IPSO FACTO, the cancellation charges are:-
Transferring to an alternative course, within 3 Months of the original start date will incur the following charges:-
Cancellation of a transferred course will incur a 100% cancellation fee.

All qualification exams should be taken within “6 calendar months” from the course completion date. After this time you will incur an additional exam fee.
Where Delegates (maximum 16) are required to be trained on-site, the Client may organize his/her own event using the venue of their choice. The venue should be equipped with tables and chairs which can be arranged ‘U-shaped’ for training and ‘Classroom-style’ for the examinations. The room should be equipped with either a smart TV or LCD Projector and screen, and an A1 flip-chart or White-board with a supply of suitable coloured pens. Refreshment (Tea/Coffee) and Washroom facilities should be available nearby. A 240V supply is required to operate IT equipment.
All dealings with the Client will be through the clients own appointed Course Administrator. Under the terms of the Data Protection Act 1998, the Client Course Administrator must have the delegates’ permission to receive communications (inc. results) from IPSO FACTO on their behalf.
IPSO FACTO will deliver the course content as described in our quotation. IPSO FACTO will provide pre-course reading materials prior to the commencement of the course. These will be sent to the Clients Course Administrator when confirmation of a booking has been received.
Details of Delegates attending a course must be forwarded to IPSO FACTO at least 2 weeks prior to the commencement of the event. (4 weeks for non-UK-based courses). Failure to do so could lead to the Delegates not being registered for the Examinations.
IPSO FACTO reserve the right to cancel or discontinue the course if, in the Trainers opinion, the venue or conditions are unsuitable. Every effort should be made to provide the best training environment possible. In order to continue all delegates and the client course administrator must sign a document “signing in sheet” agreeing that they wish to proceed using the venue with unsuitable conditions. IPSO FACTO course administrator must be notified of the situation before training commences and a copy of the signed document retained for office records.

Where a Course Date is postponed by the Client, the above charges will apply. The cost of all course materials supplied will be charged. Ownership of materials supplied will pass to the Client following payment of the above charges.
Any changes to the number of agreed delegates attending the training session must be communicated to the Course Administrator in writing or email at least 10 days before the scheduled start date. If delegates drop out of the course after this deadline or fail to attend, the client is still liable to pay the full fee for those delegates.
For scheduled courses and on-site arranged courses, payment of the course fee, together with the VAT should be received by IPSO FACTO four weeks prior to the course start date or on booking, whichever is the later.

Cancellation of a transferred course within 1 month of the transfer date will incur a 100% cancellation fee.
The course fee includes tuition, training materials, hand-outs, exams where relevant, refreshments and lunch as appropriate to the course.
If any payment, due to IPSO FACTO, is in arrears for more than 30 days, IPSO FACTO may charge interest on a day to day basis. The rate of four percent above Lloyds Bank base rate in force at that time will be charged from the due date of payment until the date of receipt.
It is the Customer’s responsibility, having referred to relevant IPSO FACTO course information and literature, to ensure the course is suitable for the student’s requirements. IPSO FACTO will provide the course with reasonable care and skill but accepts no liability in the event that the content of the course does not meet the Customer’s requirements or the student’s requirements.
In extreme circumstances it may be necessary for IPSO FACTO to reschedule a course upon which a booking has been made. If the rescheduled dates of the course are not convenient to the Customer, IPSO FACTO’s liability will be limited to a refund of the fees paid. IPSO FACTO reserves the right to change the course location.
It is acknowledged that all intellectual property rights, including copyright, design rights and know-how in or relating to a course or course materials provided, remain the sole property of IPSO FACTO or its licensors. No copies may be made of the course material unless expressly agreed in writing by IPSO FACTO.
Where a course is provided at the Customer’s site, the Customer will take all reasonable steps to safeguard the personnel or representatives of IPSO FACTO when on the Customer’s premises as well as any property brought onto such premises for the purpose of providing the course.
Information provided to delegates is to our knowledge the most up to date information available, based on that provided by the relevant software supplier. IPSO FACTO accepts no liability where this is not the case.
All course materials and exams are valid for a period of 12 months from the course start date. It is in the best interest of delegates that they complete all exams well within the 12 month period from the course start date, to ensure success.
All training agreed via an advanced payment must be completed within 12 months from the receipt of the payment.
